Pernera is one of the closest areas to Protaras, there are two local beaches plus bars, shops, supermarkets and award winning restaurants featured on TripAdvisor. The bars and restaurants offer great entertainment and food for families, couples and groups of friends. For eating out there is plenty to choose from – mediteranean, traditional cypriot restaurants, italian, mexican or a steakhouse restaurant, kebabs amongst others.
Unlimited free WIFI is available in various pubs and restaurants in Pernera (once you have purchased a drink).
To sample Cypriot cuisine and especially a ‘meze’, there are a number of restaurants where you can sit back and relax taking in the Cypriot culture.
The two local beaches are called the Golden Coast and Pernera beach but you can walk the coastline all the way to Fig Tree Bay in Protaras! Pernera boasts a beautiful marina and cafe which is situated next to the Golden coast beach. You can sit and relax watching the boats or enjoy the water sports on the beach if your feeling more energetic! There is also a water park in Pernera to cool the kids off if its getting a bit too warm!
There are local tour operators who offer various trips, or enjoy a boat trip, fishing, diving and lots more… plenty to do in Pernera!
If you wish to explore more of the lovely island, there is a regular bus service with bus stops along the road that take you to Protaras, Cape Greco, Ayia Napa & Ayia Napa Water Park, Sirena Bay, Ayia Triada, Kapparis, Paralimni all for 1 euro 50 cents each way or buy a bus day pass for just 5 euros. Children travel 1/2 price, infants travel free.
